In this blog, Arc of Acadiana wants to take the opportunity to spotlight one of our organization's heroes and our Program Manager: Lacie Dunn.

Lacie joined Arc of Acadiana in St. Landry as the new Program Manager in October 2019. She joined the team after spending 10 years at the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO), where she served as Operations Supervisor for the Acadiana Recovery Center. She handled various areas of the program including managing a staff of 35, budgeting and generating revenue through prospecting and leading development strategies.
Lacie’s most recent position with LPSO focused on Treatment Programs and Diversion Coordination. She managed the implementation of substance abuse and mental health programs, in addition to completing transition plans for offenders.
Lacie is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare Management.
She is passionate about enhancing meaningful programs that assist both the community and families. Her diverse skill set in treatment programs and working with individuals with substance abuse and mental health issues makes her a wonderful asset to Arc of Acadiana.
She enjoys working with people from all walks of life and empowering individuals. Her motto is “Team Work, Makes the Dream Work.”

Originally from Erwinville, LA, Lacie is member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family & friends.

Lacie has been in the field of management for over 10 years. She leads with her whole heart and is focused on positive change. She had the opportunity to be mentored by influential managers and this helped shape her confidence, as well as become a better leader.
Lacie believes that communication is the best way to create strong relationships. She understands the importance of being able to communicate with people at all levels.
Lacie’s management style has been described as having vision of where she wants to go with the ability to articulate it. She leads by uplifting her team, provides reasons why all staff members are assets and exudes the vision and spirit to lead change.
