Meet Chelsea Guidry, Arc of Acadiana’s Waiver Program Manager for Vermilion Parish. Chelsea manages the Day Program operations while simultaneously growing and supervising Arc’s Supported Living/In-Home service programs in Vermilion Parish.

Chelsea’s career began in the educational system where she was involved with a self-contained classroom of students with various abilities. Her love for people with developmental disabilities grew and she found her way to Arc of Acadiana nearly 3 years ago. Chelsea was initially hired as a Waiver Supervisor, coordinating care for Arc clients, while working with staff to ensure that each person received the supports they needed.  Her most recent position was Waiver QIDP, writing client plans and communicating with families and support coordination to offer the best possible services for Arc of Acadiana clients in Lafayette, Rayne, and Opelousas.

Education:

Chelsea graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science.  She has been instrumental in helping to restructure the Lafayette caseloads and assisting to identify more efficient ways for Arc of Acadiana to serve people with disabilities in Lafayette/Opelousas. Her motivation and enthusiasm are fueled by helping Arc of Acadiana clients realize their goals.  We have no doubt that Arc’s programs, and most importantly, their clientele will flourish under her leadership.
