Arc of Acadiana’s Day Programs meet the social, recreational, and employment readiness needs within our I/DD community.  We have missed being closed due to COVID-19 and the pandemic. We are looking forward to continuing our mission and enhancing the lives of our clients and empowering them for success!

We are re-opening as of Monday, October 19th, and following reopening phase 3 COVID guidelines!

We are ensuring our clients and staff will remain safe doing temperature checks as well as requirement of masks, hand washing, social distancing, and more

Day Programs

Arc of Acadiana’s Day Programs meet the social needs and employment readiness needs of our clients. Day programs help by providing social engagement activities, vocational training, employment opportunities,  strengthening each person’s social and economic base, and helping each clients with social and employment goals.

All ages of adults 17 years and older feel welcome within our Day Programs.

Opportunities

Arc of Acadiana’s Day Programs offer a giant range of creative and recreational opportunities for our clients who are not seeking employment options. These opportunities allow our clients to socialize and explore their creativity within a routine framework.   

And if you are not interested in employment? There are many Arc of Acadiana Day Program Opportunities for you or your loved one including: recreational/social activities, arts & crafts, music activities, gardening, and more!

OTHER RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Taking walks, dancing, bowling, basketball, or participating in Girard Park’s bi-weekly Fun and Fitness program are a few fun ways our clients stay active! 

OUTINGS

Keeping in tune with Phase 3 and social distancing guidelines, we also offer outings to the zoo, theatre, public library, science museum, etc. 

There are classes some choose to take part in such as continuing education and nutrition classes. We also go to the stores with clients, get creative with painting, have fun with karaoke, card and board games and puzzles!

Arc of Acadiana’s Work Readiness Program offers integration and employment opportunities for our clients. Arc of Acadiana’s Day Programs are well-developed and trustworthy. Our program history indicates that our clients enjoy well-rounded, balanced lives.

From assistance with basic life skills, to utilizing our Supported Employment services, you or your loved one will feel free to succeed and grow within this framework.
